    In fact to this day my oarents view the shabbos to put down their own flesh and blood for their own issues. They have serious social problems and it has zero to do with technology.

    חחח אני רואה סרטונים בסגנון הזה ביפנית וספרדית כל הזמן, אז עכשיו יוטיוב הציע לי (ישראלית) את הסרטון הזה אז לחצתי מתוך סקרנות XD כל הכבוד! אני שמחה שיש כאלה גם ללומדי עברית :)

  • @alk158
    @alk158 4 дні тому

    Nothing wrong with technology and it is not the reason for various dysfunction and anti-social behavior. Plenty of Jewish families have one child they scapegoat every Shabbos and it is with all technology shut off. I know people who never use technology on the shabbos and think it is somehow evil and they have extremely bad and infantile social skills that they can't have a normal give and take conversation. Many horrible things happened in history and there was no internet of iphone. I think it is mixing up the symptom with the illness.

      That is true if everything not just technology. Anything can be used for good or evil. Just saying. Sorry for being so outspoken but people use having their head in something else very narrow and ignore much of reality and.cause problems to others and to themselves.

      @@PieceofHebrew Nonsense, as someone who was mistreated by his family on the Sabbath the problem isn't technology. In fact the torah doesn't say anything about using tech or someone else's inventions on Shabbos. In fact technology has made our life eaiser and it is horrible for religious figures to always think advancement is bad for the world. It is sad that Judaism has mimicked the worst apects of organized religion. The purpose of the Sabbath is to take a break of work. It isn't to think technology is some sort of evil.

    • @alk158

      and how would some law like this be enforced. Will we have religious police to make sure you don't turn a light on. Should all lights be shut off to prevent this. Come on? It is one thing to gather wood, it is another to push a switch that requires no physical or mental exertion.

    I probably misunderstood everything, but I enjoyed listening to your conversation and memories. I could pick up some words and used my imagination, plus your intonations, to grasp a bit more context than just from the title of this podcast. I am not Jewish and never celebrated Hannukkah, but my daughter married a man whose family celebrates Hannukkah in Israel. About 5 years ago, before covid, she went with him to spend Hannukkah thru Christmas with his family. I love the pictures she sent back to us of the long table laden with desserts and shining with menorahs. Each child old enough to light a candle had his or her own menorah on the table, with older kids helping them. And the menorahs were each so unique - one was a carved Noah, ark and animals scene! How beautiful those pictures were with the children's faces glowing in the candlelight! עכשיו, אני לא יכולה לספר את הסיפור הזה בעברית, עבל אני יכולה להגיד מה אני יכולה לעשות ומה אני לא יכולה לעשות. 😂 תודה רבה!

    In Tel Aviv me and another guy from our travel group spoke with a nice older Jewish lady who asked us if we were married or had kids, when we said no she said "why not?" and told us to go find nice young women to marry. She was really sweet and even knew that neither of us were Jews. She just wanted Hashem's creation to multiply, and it was apparent she wanted good for us.
